Divine Mercy Chaplet (Meditated)
(Optional Opening Prayer) You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.
(Repeat three times) O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
+ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
On the three beads of the rosary pray the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Apostles Creed.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.
You begin each decade with the Our Father beads by praying this prayer:
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
Complete the decade on the 10 Hail Mary beads by praying this prayer after every meditation:
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
First Decade:
1. Jesus was betrayed by Judas.
2. In the Olive garden he felt troubled unto death.
3. The disciples slept instead of praying with him.
4. He prayed with great eagerness.
5. His sweat became like great drops of Blood.
6. He freely accepted The Father’s Will.
7. Judas betrayed Him with a kiss.
8. He was arrested.
9. He was bound with chains.
10. He was kept in prison.

Second Decade:
1. He appeared before Caiaphas.
2. He got slapped on His Face.
3. He appeared before Pilate.
4. He was rejected by Peter.
5. He appeared in front of Herod who rediculed Him.
6. Pilate ordered him to be beaten.
7. He was flogged to the column.
8. Suffered bloody injuries all over.
9. He felt tremendous pain.
10. He behaved like a lamb.

Third Decade:
1. He was humilated by the soldiers.
2. He was stripped of his clothes.
3. Dressed in a dark red cloak.
4. They spit in His Face.
5. They covered his Eyes.
6. They gave him blows.
7. They put a crown of thorns on His Head.
8. They made fun of Him.
9. They hit him on the head with a rod.
10. They changed his clothes again.

Forth Decade:
1. They chose Barabbas instead of Him.
2. He shouted 'Crucify Him!'
3. They condemned him to the death of the cross.
4. He welcomed the cross with love and this caused Him a deep wound in His shoulder.
5. He fell under the weight of the cross.
6. He met his Mother.
7. He fell again under the weight of the cross.
8. He comforted the women of Jerusalem.
9. He fell again under the weight of the cross.
10. He was stripped of his clothes.
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
After every meditation: For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Fifth Decade:
1. They nailed his hands to the cross.
2. They nailed his legs to the cross.
3. He felt tremendous pain for three whole hours!
4. He forgave and apologized those who crucified Him.
5. He comforted his Mother and John by giving them to each other.
6. In great desolation he asked His Father why He has left Him.
7. He was thirsty and was given vinegar to drink.
8. He shouted a great cry and released his soul.
9. They pierced His side with a spear.
10. They took him down from the cross and placed him in his mother's arms and then they buried him.
Once you have prayed all 5 decades, you finish the Chaplet by praying the following prayer 3 times: Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
(Optional Closing Prayer) Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.
